If you think of brick, for instance, you say to brick, „What do you want, brick?“ And brick says to you, „I like an arch.“ And if you say to brick, „Look, arches are expensive, and I can use a concrete lintel over you. What do you think of that, brick?“ brick says, „I like an arch.“

I like to listen to materials.  The task of crafting said materials, guides me.  The connection to the ethers motivates me.
I plan and build furnishings and installations from an intellectual and spiritual imagining. The key inspiration in my work is the natural material, wood.
After studying interior design in Hannover and conceptual art at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, Germany, I received my degree in art history from Düsseldorf University. Besides my academic education, I draw from an archive of 18th to 20th Century furniture, accumulated as a result of three decades dealing in antiques.
My work merges spirituality, craft and the manufacturing of material through an energetic lens. Once a project is outlined the process comes together intuitively.
